Miley Cyrus Addresses Her Recent Sobriety with Jimmy Fallon
Many people think of Miley Cyrus as a naked, twerking, weed-smoking, tongue-flinging 24-year-old. Nowadays, that is certainly not the case. Miley appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 14 to address her recent sobriety.
Miley is definitely a jokester which can easily be seen throughout the entire interview with Fallon. However, Cyrus spoke in a more serious tone when addressing the reason as to why she decided to quit smoking weed. The answer was as simple as Miley craving a sense of clarity when speaking about her record. She told Fallon,
“I loved making this record so, so much. This record for me at this moment is the most important album I’ve ever made. I wanted to make sure I was super clear when I’m talking.”
In the past, Cyrus appeared on The Tonight Show dressed as a bunny rabbit and then a cat. In Miley’s recent interview she told Jimmy,
“I’ve always been very stoned on your shows.”
Miley also revealed that she would have the same nightmare over-and-over again every time she got high. She said, “I had a dream that I would die during my monologue on SNL, that I would get so stoned and die.” We can all unquestionably say that is something that has never happened before—so, no need to worry Miley.
Cyrus also noted as to how calm and peaceful she has been lately—although, it may not seem like she is to everyone else. She said,
"With Bangerz, I never tried to prove anything or not be myself. Anytime I say I’m being myself, whether I look like this or look completely different, or I’m a panda, that is myself. I’m always being myself. It just depends what that is.”
One thing we can all take from this interview between Miley and Jimmy is that one should not be afraid to make changes in their life. We certainly do not know when or how things will happen, but when the time is right—everything will absolutely make sense. Well done Miley, well done!
