INTERVIEW

1. When and how did you first become interested in music?

"I was 5 years old in my living room and the Spice Girls came on my television. It was the first music I ever saw and it changed the rest of my life."

2. Where are you from? Has that influenced your music?

"I am from South FL and also of Haitian descent. I’m influenced by a lot of different music, such as R&B, soul, jazz, pop, rock, and Caribbean. South FL helped mold my music by its party sounds."

3. How did you start your music career?

"Simply, I started by believing in myself and working towards a vision. I started singing on stage and booking studio sessions to songs that I wrote. It became a lifestyle and still is to this day."

4. Who are your musical and style inspirations? Why?

"Erykah Badu, Beyonce, Rihanna, Jill Scott, and Janelle Monae...just to name a few. Each artist that conquers their own lane typically inspires me."

5. What artists would you want to work with in the future?

"Kendrick Lamar because he stands for something bigger than music. I want to be able to say I made a song with hip hop’s Messiah."

6. What kind of things inspire your music? Why?

"Something that inspires my music is seeing people work from the bottom and reaching their dream. There's something special about really being able to fulfill your purpose in this lifetime; unfortunately, I don’t see many people that get to do that, and often times they settle for less. So seeing any individual strive for what they have always wanted inspires me most."

7. As a growing and upcoming artist, how would you describe your sound to new fans?

"I would describe my sound as melodic, sensual and soulful; however, it still touches the core elements of hip-hop with freestyle projections."

8. Let me start off by saying that your single F.L.Y has been on replay. How was your experience in regard to filming the music video?

"Thank you! The music video was a very fun experience. Luckily, I have a great team that ultimately helped me execute the vision. The concept came along by thinking about how we can help show the rising culture in the city, as well as representing pure unity. The message was basically good vibes."

9. How was your experience performing on BalconyTV Miami?

"BalconyTV was a pleasure and a great kick-off to starting the #BranchesEP campaign; they were super sweet, supportive and had nothing but love for my sound."

10. Do you have a favorite song of yours that you've done? If so, which song and why is it your favorite?

"I actually do not have a favorite song; all of them are my babies because each has a different story."

11. What has been a standout moment in your journey thus far?

"Thus far, it has been receiving recognition by some of South FL legends like Trina and just being able to work alongside moguls that actually want to see me win. That is priceless and shows me that I’m on the right path."

12. Everyone has those moments when they feel like giving up—with that said, what inspires and motivates you to keep going?

"What inspires me to keep going is knowing that I’ve come this far and to stop now would be letting not only myself down but a lot of people that believe in me and support me. It’s much bigger than me. I know I only serve as an example of what Faith and work can do."

13. I know that you will be traveling to Atlanta for the A3C music conference and festival, what are you looking forward to?

"I’m looking forward to seeing all the music cultures in one city merging connecting and networking. I think what I’m most excited about though is just expanding. Putting yourself out there with no hesitation gets my adrenaline pumping every time. & I will also be performing so I’m looking forward to hitting the stage during the festival."

14. What plans/goals do you have for your future? Let's speak them into existence.

"My plan is to touch the masses, tour the world, talk and meet with some of my biggest musical influences and also have other artists charting songs I wrote for them. Basically, levitating my whole family into a more comfortable space with fewer worries and more celebrations. I want memories that will last for generations to come."

15. Last question, what is one message you want to send your fans?

"Keep talking about my music to your loved ones! Word of mouth is 1 of the biggest most underrated machines. There’s an unconditional love in my heart for you all."
