Learn more about Jennifer Morejon below.

1. How did you first get into blogging? What inspired you to start your blog?

"I first got into blogging during my first year of college. I wanted to build a platform where I would be able to express myself through my writing and on camera, so I can have something to show to future job employers. Like “hey this is how I write, this is what I can do on camera; I can film, edit, produce, and basically build an entire website.”

From that goal, I began to wonder what I could base my blog on that would make it different. So, the idea of making a go-to website where young girls where they can find dating advice, fashion tips, beauty tips and any topic really that will help them get through different coming of age things that happen between the age of 14-25. My friends loved the idea and joined me, which lead to Brunette Confession's running in 2015. My friends and I would write weekly articles. Eventually, a few had to quit because they had other things to focus on.

At this point, I didn’t know what else to do with the blog. Having a lot of engagement and posts going up helped a lot, but now it was only going to be me. During this time, Instagram was evolving, and more and more influencers started to rise. I got inspired. The “blogger lifestyle” looked amazing. So Brunette Confessions starting to change a little, I started doing photo-shoots for Instagram and the blog. Meanwhile, also producing video content.“Ask the brunettes” was born during this period, a weekly segment where we would have readers submit questions on whatever they needed help with. My cousin or friend would join me in the video and we would answer the question. It was a hit! We would get so many questions in a month that it became hard to film individual videos at one point, we had to start picking and choosing what can be answered.

Eventually, it was just all too much for me to handle while trying to pursue a career in the news broadcasting industry. Blogging is no joke, it is definitely a full-time job and one that I cannot fully commit too. I still use the platform as a hobby/part-time because I love everything it stands for and I can’t let it go.

Getting the site up and running was one of my greatest accomplishments, it helped me get internships and even my current job at a news station.”

2. How would you describe your personal style? Who are your fashion inspirations?

“I don’t think I have a specific style. It really depends on my mood haha. Sometimes I’m edgy, sometimes I’m dressed super boho… other times I’m dressed super chic.

My inspiration definitely comes from the Kardashian/Jenner clan; I know super basic. But how can you not? I also love Vanessa Hudgens and Olivia Culpo's style too.”

“I love midi's, duster coats, and bell-bottom pants/tops; my top obsessions."

“I wake up around 10a.m., get ready and hit the gym. Make it back to my apartment by 12:30pm. Shower and then make myself some lunch and prepare my dinner to eat at work. I make it to work at 3pm. At work I am running the assignment desk, which means I am getting all the info of news coming in and sending reporters and photographers to different places to cover different things, meanwhile update producers on anything new happening. I leave work at 11:30pm, get home and shower and then go to bed. Then do it all over again haha.”
